Picnic

A picnic is a free-for all food festival in which an ant's scavenging skills are tested and the food stockpile is replenished. Picnics are popular events with younger and older ants alike. They have been held since 19 aught 7 with The First Picnic, a ceremonial discovery of surplus and joy.

Picnics cannot be planned in advance — they must be encountered. Upon encountering a picnic, the lucky ant will inform the rest of the colony, and all worker ants will be sent to retrieve food. Businesses always close on picnic days, and parties are generally held around the colony.
